AI-Powered App for Navigating Local Services and Government

In 2024, the SuperCity team approached us for a collaboration. For over 20 years, they have been bridging the gap between technology and the public sector, currently serving significant cities across the U.S. – from El Paso to New York City. They focus on transforming urban environments through AI solutions that enhance connectivity, sustainability, and quality of life.

The client was looking for a reliable technology company with expertise in native mobile development and AI solutions to ensure high quality across the entire app, a great UX, and fully functional AI features. This project aimed to create a solution that helps cities improve services, enhance connectivity with residents and visitors, and ensure easy navigation while prioritizing user privacy.

For the SuperCity team, we became a strategic technology partner, ensuring that the project's technological aspects are functional, secure, efficient, and sustainable. We help drive the project forward and enhance its overall value.

We developed AI-driven native mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms. Thanks to these apps, users will always have access to essential city information, utilize an AI chat to find necessary details, and manage tasks such as paying bills, fees, or fines—like parking citations. For example, users can scan their tickets, check the map to see available payment locations, and complete the transaction. Additionally, users can report issues that must be addressed in the city.

On the other hand, with its intuitive platform, cities can easily share important updates, streamline services, and foster a stronger sense of community.

The application will be officially available to the public in April 2025.
 

The platform’s key features include:

• AI Chat: Retrieves information from quadrant and PDF resources uploaded in the back office.
• Payment Feature: After scanning a document (e.g., parking ticket), AI extracts relevant information and facilitates the payment process. Users can pay via card, cash, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
• News Feature: The system scrapes the latest news and events from specific websites and presents them in the app's Newsfeed.
• User Authentication Feature: This feature supports authentication via email and password, Google, or Apple accounts. Guest users also have access to most features.
• Report an Issue (in the city): Currently on hold but planned for future development.

This solution is built on AWS, providing high reliability, security, and scalability. It ensures minimal downtime and strong data protection at an enterprise-standard level for the client.

We started with consultations and a concept document outlining the project's main goal and key business requirements. These were then broken down into specific features, forming a clear roadmap.

In the design phase, we created detailed requirements specifications and a prototype while conducting proof-of-concepts for high-risk features. 

Once approved, we moved into development, followed by QA testing. From the early stages of development, we also set up the infrastructure and held regular client meetings for progress updates.

After launching the application, we continue to provide support, maintenance, and ongoing improvements.
